All bundled up for my run to the coffee shop, I bumped into the caretaker of our building this morning.

“Goin out to play in the snow?,” he asked.

“Well, why not,” I responded, completing the sentence in my mind with “I’m an elf!”

It all started the day before thanksgiving when my niece introduced me to  http://www.elfyourself.com/.  After elfing myself and just about everyone I had a digital picture of for the next 48 hours, I was elfing in my sleep and couldn’t think without hearing jingle bells.

My elfa-morphosis was complete on Saturday night when I watched Elf for the first time, falling madly in love with Buddy.

I mean, who wouldn’t love a guy who likes to make snow angels, eat cookie dough and snuggle?

My art flows from the patterns & paths of my lived experience which ⏤ like yours ⏤ are at once deeply personal and entirely universal.
