farm light

Tomorrow, I’ll “put a little gravel in my travel” and begin a 10-day light-changing experience at the Phillips Family Farm in Montevideo, Minnesota.

Those familiar with my art will recognize this place as the inspiration for numerous t*da cards — as well as the source of the fabulous relics I mixed into our NE Minneapolis industrial warehouse studio space to give it that unique farm charm.

In the five or so years I’ve been visiting, I’m always amazed at how these same old buildings and grounds can look so new to me.   Like the relics and the warehouse, it’s contrast that keeps me curious.

City girl with farm dog.  Old camera and new paint brushes.  An unpredictable play of light on a steadfast plain.

Join me here for updates through July 30.
